          Children's Plastic Pools
Big and bulky, please give them another life. Here are some ideas:

Pets
Use as an outdoor dog bath. Line with a blanket and use as a pet bed.

Planters
Use as a cover for small plants to protect them from frost. Poke holes in the bottom, fill with potting soil and plant a garden in it.

Sandbox
Use as a sandbox. Flip it over and use it for a sandbox cover.

Garden Hose

When that old garden hose springs a leak or become full of kinks, don’t throw it away, reuse it. Here are some suggestions:

Blade Guard
Slit a section of hose and slip it over the blade of an ax or saw when not in use.

Bucket Handle
Cut a short length of hose and slit down one side. Slide over the handle of the bucket to make a padded handle.

Corner Bumper
Nailing lengths of slit hose to corners creates a bumper protector.

Outdoor Cord Protector
Slit a hose lengthwise and carefully push an extension cord inside to protect it from weather or heavy foot traffic.

Soaker Hose
Poke holes along the length of an old hose and make it into a soaker hose.

Tree Support
When supporting young trees, slit pieces of hose and slip a section onto support ropes to protect the tender trunks from rope burn.

Wreath
Using a portion of the hose, loop it into a circle and bind the ends together with wire. Decorate it with old gardening gloves, seed packets, small gardening tools, silk flowers, etc. and hang it outdoors.

Pantyhose
Out of the lingerie drawer, old pantyhose can be given a new life elsewhere.

Bulb Storage
Store flower bulbs for good air circulation and protection from mice

Garden Ties
Tie up plants in the garden.

Paint Strainer
Strain lumpy paint through a stretched out piece of pantyhose.

Potting
When repotting your houseplants put a circle of pantyhose in the bottom of the pot before filling it. This stops soil being washed out of the bottom each time you water.

Plastic Six Pack Rings

Help keep these damaging plastics out of the natural environmental. Use them as:

Fencing
String together to make "chicken wire" fencing

Trellis
Tie together and use as a trellis
