Idling
The Department of Environmental Quality says that 10 seconds of idling uses more fuel than restarting the engine. If you are out of traffic and stop for longer than this, turn off your car.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps improve fuel efficiency and reduces pollution causing emissions.
Regularly replace your car's air filter.
Proper tire inflation can improve gas mileage by more than 3%. With gas prices what they are, it pays to check your tires weekly to make sure they’re properly inflated.
