| Packing Alternatives | ||||||||||||||
| There’s no need to buy fancy, expensive packing materials when there are many resources right at hand. Consider these alternatives: Newspaper Ads The ink on glossy newspaper ads doesn’t smear. Just crumple them up and stuff your mailing box. Popcorn Popped popcorn without any oils or salt will soften the blow to fragile items, and the birds can enjoy it wherever your package arrives. Rags Old rags and toweling work great to protect shipped items and can be reused by the recipient as well. Shredded Paper Use the paper from your paper shredder as packing material. Tissue Paper Tissue paper saved from the holiday before might not be nice enough to wrap gifts with, but it will serve well as packing material. |
