The slick coated surface of magazine pages makes beads that are very strong and quite waterproof.
1. Strip the paper into 1/2-inch wide strips.
2. Roll the paper tightly around a toothpick, dabbing glue on the last portion of the paper to hold the coil in place.
3. Let the glue set up and then remove the toothpick.
The longer or wider the paper, the bigger the bead; experiment with different sizes. String the paper beads to make recycled jewelry.
