Hazardous Waste Roundups
Due to the success of participants and the high volume of traffic these events create, Metro has asked that we don’t post their events to the public, BUT we think it is important for you to recycle! So, to compromise, we are offering the dates and towns of Hazardous Waste Roundups, but please call Metro Recycling for actual locations:

*While participating in these events, please try not to idle your car- we are solving the toxic waste problem, but we are potentially creating another problem by contributing to air pollution; excessive idling can be hard on your engine and you can reduce smog by turning your engine off when your vehicle is parked or waiting in line. Ten seconds of idling uses more fuel than restarting your engine, and restarting a car many times has little impact on engine components.
